Ozone Layer

The Core of the Antarctic has experienced a 26% reduction since 2004, contrary to previously reported recovery trends in total ozone according to a study published in the journal communications. However, recovery trends remain in early spring (September). The finding highlight the importance of continuous monitoring and evaluation of the state with the changing dynamical state of earth’s climate.

Generic Drugs

Providing relief to patients with rare diseases across India, the Union Health Ministry has made available generic drugs to support the care and treatment of four aliments: tyrosinemia-Type 1, Gaucher’s Disease, Wilson Disease, Wilson’s disease and Dravet-Lennox gastaunt syndrome. This means the cost of drugs will be slashed by between 60 and 100 times of their current market value.
