Details:
- MAPA:
(1) It prohibits slaughter, purchase, sale, import, export and possession of beef.
(2) Section 5A of MAPA, 1976 Prohibits transport and export of cow, bull or bullock for slaughter.
(3) Section 5B prohibits sale, purchase, disposal in any other manner of cow, bull or bullock.
(4) Section 5C prohibits possession of flesh of cow, bull or bullock.
- HC:
(1) Possession of skin will not attract Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code.
(2) possession of deal animal skin is not an offence under Maharashtra Animal Preservation Act, 1976.
