India – Bhutan Relations

Butan and China held their 25th round of boundary talks on Tuesday, which has been held up since the previous round in 2016, even as Bhutan’s foreign minister met Chinese foreign minister with both sides saying they want a deal on demarcating boundaries soon.

Vienna Convention

Cananda’s inability to provide safety and security to Indian Diplomats challenges the “Most fundamental aspect” of the the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, External affairs minister S. Jaishankar Said. Mr. Jaishankar’s remark at the event came two days after Canada withdrew 41 of its diplomats from India and Paused Walk-in- services at its Consulates in Mumbai, Bengaluru and Chandigarh, affecting Canadian Visa facilities for Indians.

Several Foreign Ministers, including those of India, Bangladesh, Mauritius, Iran, Malaysia and South Africa will participate in the Indian Ocean Rim Association council of Ministers meeting in Colombo according to the Sri Lankan government which is Preparing to take over as chair of the regional grouping. The council of Ministers will see the participation of 16 ministers.
