The Global Drug Policy Index
It is a data-driven global analysis of drug policies and their implementation.
It is composed of 75 indicators running across five broad dimensions of drug policy:
1) Criminal Justice
2) Extreme responses
3) Health and harm reduction
4) Access to internationally controlled medicines
5) Development
The Harm Reduction Consortium
The Harm Reduction Consortium brings together seven of the leading international and regional harm reduction, drug policy and drug user networks:
International Drug Policy Consortium (IDPC),
Harm Reduction International (HRI),
Youth RISE, the Women and Harm Reduction International Network (WHRIN),
The Middle East and North Africa Harm Reduction Association (MENAHRA),
The Eurasian Harm Reduction Association (EHRA), and
The European Network of People who Use Drugs (EuroNPUD).
The Rankings
Norway Tops the chart followed by New Zealand and Portugal.
India's overall rank is 18 with a score of 46/100.
Indonesia, Uganda and Brazil occupy the last three places respectively
