  • The panel pointed out that recommendations to increase the sums had been made in the last two years as well.
  • The Committee is baffled to observe the meagre amount of assistance ranging from ₹200 to ₹500 per month.
  • The Committee has again recommends the Department of Rural Development to look into the issue with utmost sincerity.
