  • Union Minister flagged off an all-woman crew onboard Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) vessel m.t. Swarna Krishna.
  • The event acknowledge the efforts of women in breaking down the stereotypes in the erstwhile male-dominated maritime sector.
  • This commemorates Shipping Corporation of India's (SCI) ongoing diamond jubilee celebrations.
  • It also to commemorate International Women’s Day on March 8, 2021.
