- The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully tested the air-to-air missile technology.

- DRDO carried out a flight demonstration based on Solid Fuel Ducted Ramjet (SFDR) technology.
- The operation took place from Integrated Test Range Chandipur off the Odisha coast.
- Successful demonstration of SFDR technology has provided DRDO with a technological advantage.
- It will enable DRDO to develop long range air-to-air missiles.
- Only a few countries had this technology.
