India, Russia to establish a '2+2 ministerial dialogue'
Why is it in news?
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Vladimir Putin agreed to establish a "2+2 ministerial dialogue.
- The 2+2 ministerial dialogue between foreign and defence ministers is aimed to add momentum to the bilateral strategic partnership.
- India already have 2+2 mechanism with the US, Japan and Australia.
- Putin assured Modi of Russia's full support for the success of India's presidency of BRICS during 2021.
