Terror outfits are using children-
Why it is in news?
- Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju told Parliament on Wednesday that Maoist groups and terror outfits such as the Jaish-e-Mohammad and the Hizbul Mujahideen were “using children.” However, there were no reports that children were used as human bombs.

- In the Left-wing extremism-affected States such as Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Bihar, there were reports that some groups use children in their nefarious designs to destabilise the State.
- Government was trying to open schools and carry out skill development activities to bring the children in those areas to the mainstream.
- Two other terror organisations, Jaish-e-Mohammad and Hizbul Mujahideen, have also used children.
