India will sign a pact with the U.K. for return of illegal migrants within a month of them being detected by British authorities.

·         The U.K. has consistently raised the issue of return of illegal migrants with India.

• During the maiden visit of British PM Theresa May to India, she had said that the U.K. wuld consider a better visa deal if the speed of return of Indiams who had lost the right of remaining in the U.K. is stepped up.
• Under this pact, the Indians who are detected to be overstaying in the U.K. by the british authorities would be sent back within a month and India’s cooperation is expected in the process.
